So we’ve gone into the history of Newberg and I’ve hyped you up about being able to walk to downtown in five minutes. Newberg has grown and changed a lot, even in the four years I’ve been living here, with more businesses opening every year. Like one-of-the-two-private-universities-in-the-entire-state rare. It’s actually pretty rare for universities to be so close to a downtown area. That’s right… not a five-minute drive, but a five-minute walk. And it’s ALL within walking distance of George Fox. Main Street is home to a host of coffee shops, bakeries, thrift shops, boutiques, restaurants, and plant shops. One of the biggest appeals of coming to George Fox is the cute (and ever-growing) downtown Newberg scene.
